He held transactions and asset management roles on the real estate equity and debt teams at BlackRock from 2015-2021 and was a debt asset manager at PGIM from 2021-2025 where he focused extensively on loan modifications. Sam started Bastion Real Estate in 2025 to offer integrated property and asset management services for real estate owners in New York. Sam is a licensed real estate broker in New York, received an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and an undergraduate degree from Trinity College.

Prior to joining the private sector, Sam served in the Marine Corps from 2004-2013 and completed multiple overseas deployments as a UH-1 helicopter pilot, before he was honorably discharged in 2013.

Sam began personally investing in and managing real estate in 2009 after returning from his first deployment to Afghanistan. His professional background as both an equity investor and lender give him a unique viewpoint which he leverages on behalf of property owners.
